I am not going to lie, my week of intermittent fasting was a bust. I lost my focus after completing the first half of it. Oops. Oh well, gotta move on!
Earlier this morning, I prepared lamb ribs marinated in garlic, fresh rosemary, salt, and pepper for dinner. Once I got home from work, they went into 400F/204C oven for about 40 minutes. Here’s a photo of the ribs before they went into the oven. I don’t have an after photo today, but I’m sure you get the picture.
To add, the fat on the lamb really filled me up. I had to cut most of it out because the rib had such a thick layer of fat on it. It was heavenly, though.
I will say that my first day of the fat fast did include some salad greens and peanut butter. So quite honestly, it is not a fat fast in its purest form. I did manage to clock in at well under 20 net carbs today (I added fiber to the below chart), so it wasn’t all that bad. I’ll try better tomorrow.
I’m going to be a little more relaxed with listing the weight of the food I ate this week as I can’t dedicate too much time to it. I am flat-out busy as a bee.
- Coffee with half & half
- Poached salmon salad from Whole Foods
- Roasted broccolini
- Extra-virgin olive oil and lemon juice
- Lamb Ribs
- Romaine, cherry tomatoes, poppy seed, hemp seed
- Mustard vinaigrette
- Crunchy peanut butter
- 100 ounces
Lots and lots and lots of love,
