Bracing Myself For An Egg Fast: I’m in a Funk

The past two weeks has been a roller coaster.  My stress levels have been higher than usual due to a few things here and there.  It’s a combination of a bunch of good and bad things happening all at once.  I’m having a bit of trouble on how to process all of it.  But seriously, who isn’t stressed out over something these days? I’ll figure it out eventually.

Phase one of my “back-on-track” plan went relatively well. Phase two, not so much. That’s the short version. Now I’m about to enter Phase 3, which is to do an Egg Fast starting the 8th through the 12th of this month.  I really wonder if I can make this happen.  I’m not sure if I even trust myself since the past two weeks haven’t been the best.

Finding a balance has been the biggest struggle.  Since I’ve been house sitting, I’ve lost all interest in cooking.  I’ve flipped through cookbooks, scoured the internet, and watched Youtube videos to see if anything would captivate me.  Nothing.  It’s been over a month since I’ve had my blog now.  Have I lost my food-blogging mojo already? I hope not.

What’s wrong with me?

Maybe I’m not ready to get back on track? I don’t know. At least I can try starting tomorrow with this Egg Fasting thing.  I have been cutting dairy out these past two weeks so seeing how my body will react to this fast will be interesting.  On the plus side, my skin has cleared up tremendously well; something that seems to happen every time I cut dairy out of my diet.

My last post stated that I would chronicle both egg and fat fasts.  Well then, I must. Can I do it? Let’s see what happens.

The Internet has so many different articles and blog posts about what to do and what not to do during an Egg Fast.  It’s too many in my book. But, I need to decide.

The one Egg Fast method that I feel will be most doable is from Melissa Sevigny’s  blog, I Breathe I’m Hungry. Segivny has a menu-plan available on her website too.  I am going to try some of the days on her meal plan and adjust accordingly.  Since I’m going to be busy, I want to try to simplify what I eat as much as possible. I need quick, easy, and tasty.
